Welcome to Wellington

We are delighted to welcome you to the 2008 celebration of the new ISO/IEC standard for the corporate governance of Information Technology in the beautiful city of Wellington, New Zealand.

2008 has been a critical year for Corporate Governance and the development of new opportunities for risk, automation and value.

This International conference presents unique insight for those involved in governance issues into the most recent developments in international standardisation of governance practices. Work Group 1a has recently completed and had published the ISO/IEC 38500 standard for the Corporate Governance of Information Technology. The Work Group continues to advance standardisation for Corporate Governance through a suite of related new standards.

We welcome International delegates and the debate of issues, problems and challenges in Corporate Governance. The conference is structured to allow discussion and interaction with international experts. Five domains of governance have been chosen to shape the debate: Corporate, IT, Project, Fraud, and Implementation.

We look forward to meeting with you.
